Seeking a Weekend Visiting RN to cover hospice home care/admissions in the greater Mansfield/Northeast CT area. Will manage patients in end of life care, delivering hospice/oncology/palliative care and medical care as needed to ensure supported patient/family passage through end of life care.
Will have 1-2 years recent home care hospice/oncology/palliative care experience with OASIS C for admissions and visits for adult-geriatric hospic! e patients; OR, must have at least 1-2 years in hospice care i! n dedicated hospice facility, hospital, or other facility dealing with hospice patients on a regular basis. 12 hour shift each Saturday and Sunday. $44/hour without benefits; $39 with medical and dental benefits; must work 12/hrs per day (24 hrs per weekend) in order to qualify for benefits. We can also consider every other weekend Hospice RN, $39/hour, 20 hours/weekend, no benefits.
Some weekday training is mandatory , paid at $30/hour. Mileage paid. One unpaid weekend off per quarter year (4 total). Must be able to attend mandatory clincal orientation, one week (40 hours, Mon - Fri) at start of hire and additional training as scheduled for 3rd and 5th week of hire. Weekend training paid at full rate. All admissions and visits done on laptop Allscripts program.
Requires: Valid CT RN license and ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE current or recent (within 2 years) hands on experience with either Home Care hospice admissions/OASIS; OR, at least 1-2 years of hospic! e experience in a dedicated hospice facility, hospital or other facility with care of hospice patients. Previous experience on a laptop homecare program a plus; or we can train, but MUST have very good computer skills.
