Summary Work as a senior member in a team environment to implement and support current and new applications and upgrades for clinical applications including MEDITECH - CS. Works closely with various hospitalregional departments and physician practices to maximize the efficiency and use of electronic information systems. Behaves as a positive team collaborator and change agent in line with Hartford HealthCare values. bull Analyze work flow, consult with SMEs and leadership to design and build electronic documentation in EHR, com! plete unit and integrated testing per policy, develop communic! ation re changes such as order sets, assessments, surveillance boardsbull Act as project lead to evaluate applications, plan implementationbuild with technical staff per workflow work with stakeholders re changes support implementation go live and evaluate post go live for refinement bull Researches and maintains a knowledge of best clinical practices and regulatory standards to promote positive patient outcomes bull Provide first level support for issues, act as resource to HELP desk, on call support for applications during off hoursbull Trains end users on new and upgraded applications including new hire orientation MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducationAssociate’s degree in nursing, health care, or related specialty.ExperienceA minimum of four (4) years of experience in the health care industry.License and CertificationCurrent unrestricted License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Connecticut.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTSEdu! cationBachelor’s degree in nursing, health care, or related specialty.
ExperienceA minimum of four (4) years of experience in the health care industry.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information. Basic computer skills (including openingreading email, basic internet use).Strong knowledge of project management, system planning, overseeing computer systems operations, and organizing and managing user support. Broad understanding of general hospital, nursing, and physician practice administrative operations and procedures.Broad knowledge of information systems technologies and applications. Demonstrated organizational and communications skills(written and oral).
