Clinical supervisor POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for ensuring that the overall coordination of home health services provided to all patients is delivered according to acceptable standards of practice. The Clinical Field Supervisor is responsible to contribute to the overall company success by effectively facilitating the relationship between referral sources, patients, caregivers and employees.
clinical supervisor EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION requirementS:
1. Currently licensed and registered to practice as an RN with the State Board of Nursing.
2. Must possess at least on! e of the below combinations of education & experience (see state specific requirements below if applicable):
a. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) and two years of experience as a supervising community health nurse; OR
b. Four years experience as a certified home care nurse.
3. Minimum of 1 year previous supervisory / management experience.
4. Knowledge of State and Federal Home Care Regulations.
5. Knowledgeable in ICD-9 (ICD-10) coding. Coding Certification preferred.
6. Proficient in OASIS-C completion. OASIS-C certification preferred,
7. Must be capable of multitasking while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor and be able to function well in an atmosphere of stress and interruption.
8. Demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and interpersonal skills.
9. Must be organized and able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

10. Must possess at lea! st one of the following combinations of education & experience:
a. ! Master’s Degree in Nursing and a minimum of one year of full time clinical experience in a home care agency or related community health program; OR
b. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and a minimum of three years of full time clinical experience in nursing and one year of full time clinical experience in a home care agency or related community health program; OR
c. An Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing and the following:
i. A minimum of three years of full time or full time equivalent clinical experience in nursing within the past five years, at least one year of which was in a home health care agency or community health program.
ii. Evidence of certification by the American Nurses’ Association as a community health nurse OR completion of at least six credits received within two years in community health nursing theory OR six credits in health care management from an accredited college or university program or school of nursing.
