The Registered Nurse functioning within the Patient Centered Care Model will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a group of patients, collaborate with health care professionals, coordinate ancillary staff and demonstrate professional growth and development. Able to provide appropriate care for patients served according to the unit's scope of practice.
This is an ideal position for someone who likes to work indepen! dently on a small unit with the ability to give one on one care while being able to teach and educate families.
In this position you will be required to start IV's and draw blood.
You will be able to able to cross train in different units such as Maternity or NICU. EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, AD, BSN). CT license or CT license eligible required. BLS and PALS certified required.
EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of Pediatric experience required, while 2+ of Pediatric experience preferred. Participates in the coordination of patient care services. Demonstrates ability to plan, organize and evaluate using good judgment. Pediatric nursing certification preferred.
HOURS: Rotating 7A-7:30P OR 7P-7:30A including weekends and holidays as needed.
