Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA

Location: New Haven Connecticut

Description: Maxim Healthcare Services is at present looking to employ Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA right now, this job will be placed in Connecticut. Compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (or nurse aide, orderlies, patient care technician, home health aide) is needed to provide assistance to patients with daily living tasks, under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Requires experience in a skilled nursing facility with high volume patient census, a strong ability to follow directions with minimum supervision, in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Giving patients important social and emotional sup! port.
• Providing vital information on patient conditio! ns to nurses.
• Be responsible for basic care services such as bathing, grooming and feeding, assisting nurses with medical equipment, and checking patient vital signs.

Qualifications include:

• Current, unencumbered state certification to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Minimum one (1) year of CNA experience required, based on state requirements, with home health experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification, based on state requirements.
• Copy of updated Physical, based on state requirements.
• Copy of updated TB results/ Chest x-ray.
• Reliable transportation.
