The Nurse! Practitioner works collaboratively with the health care team in pediatric medicine. He/she will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for children and their families. He/she will, in collaboration with other team members provide programs, treatment and counseling appropriate to the child's plan of care. He/she will consistently demonstrate proficiency in working with the designated patient population, and serve as a unit resource and teacher.
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing a masters degree as PNP
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience in pediatrics desirable. RN License required, Master's Degree Nurse Practitioner required; Pediatric Nurse Practitioner skills required. PNP & PALS certification required, acute inpatient care or Emergency Department experience preferred. 3-5 years experience in pediatrics desirable. Will work in inpatient, outpatient and ER.
LICENSURE: Licensed as a RN and PNP Certification in Pediat! rics; Basic Life Support (BLS)
HOURS: as needed.
