Busy takeaway in Reproa is seeking a full time cook.
You shall be responsible for:
- Preparation and planning of meal designs
- Responsible for assessing food and labour costs
- Ensuring that food costs are kept within budget
- Ensuring that all food prepared meets management expectations of quality
- Demonstrating to other staff procedures and techniques that will be required to assure quality
- Encouraging frank and open communication between staff and management
- Ensuring that the kitchen is kept clean at all times
- Forecasting stock requirements and Ordering stock
- Monitoring Health &Safety requirements within the restaurant
- Ensuring that all staff comply with Health and Safety regulations
- Performance of any other duties as required by Management
- Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.
- Provide support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
- Recruit and train new kitchen employees to meet restaurant and kitchen standards.
- Create schedules for kitchen employees and evaluate their performance.
- Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations.
- Prepare pizzas out of our menu and based on custom orders and as per their dietary requirements
- Wash and chop vegetables (for example, tomatoes, peppers, onions and mushrooms)
- Cut, slice and grill meats like chicken, ham and beef
- Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed
- Recommend new recipes to update our menus
- Maintain a clean cooking station and sterilize equipment
It is a Full-time role working minimum 35 hours per week including evening shifts and weekends,we need people who are committed and turn up to work on time unless they have a reasonable excuse.
