Quinnipiac University invites applications for its Staff RN weekend night shift position to provide health care for students of Quinnpiac University. Quinnipiac University Student Health Services provides 24/7 health care for 8,800 enrolled students on its three campuses.

Responsibilities:
- Provide treatment of minor injuries and illnesses;
- Triage health needs to include referral to medical care, counseling services, and community resources;
- Comply with confidentiality requirements as set by HIPAA, FERPA, federal, state, and local regulations;
- Screen student health history forms and initiate appropriate follow-up;
- Serve as a point of contact between parents, doctors, and students in medical matters;
- Follow guidelines and protocols for the administration of medicines, immunizations;
- Maintain complete and accurate docu! mentation of nursing care given to patients in EMR system;
- Maintain inventory control of clinical supplies ;
- Supervise student work study students and collaborate and oversee EMT's on duty;
- Provide health guidance for students living with chronic illness/disability.
- Must have a BS or BA and be a graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing with a minimum of five years of experience;
- Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Connecticut;
- Demonstrated ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintains records, generate reports;
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds;
- The ability to provide quality customer service;
- Official transcripts and evidence of licensing as RN will be required.
Thursday, Friday, Sa! turday, 11pm-7am shift.
