We are presently recruiting for a full time Clinical Site Coordinator, to provide clinical care and administrative oversight for patient and health service delivery of Optimus Health Care. The Clinical Site Coordina! tor will provide coordination and facilitation of operations b! etween primary work site and Optimus Health Care, Inc.
It is important that the Clinical Site Coordinator provides leadership and direction in order to meet the federally mandated and operational expectations of Optimus Health Care, Inc. Together with the Director of Pediatrics, the Clinical Site Coordinator will ensure that the structure, mechanisms and processes are in place at the site to enable the clinician’s and staff to fulfill Optimus’ mission.
The Clinical Site Coordinator will be the administrative lead ensuring the smooth operations of the clinics in meeting their clinical, quality and fiscal goals. In addition to the administrative clinical function, the Clinical Site Coordinator will be assigned to provide direct patient care.
Job Responsibilities
Planning
Contributes to the development of OHC’s health care plan based on community health needs, epidemiology of the community, and health behavior of the community! .
Assists in diagnosing the health needs of the patient population and community as a basis for health planning and developing new programs.
Enable development, implementation, and operation of a quality assurance program as it relates to patient care.
Management
Provides clinical supervision along with the Clinical Nurse for the practice.
Manages the functions of Peer Reviews and Competency Evaluations for clinical staff at OHC under the direction of the Director of Pediatrics
Ensures productivity is met along with QA.
Operations
Attend meetings of the clinic departments, arrange and conduct regular monthly meetings of clinical providers to ensure effective communication and compliance of HRSA requirement, and Joint Commission mandates.
Represent clinical management in project administration meetings and in Community Board meetings.
Work collaboratively with the members of senior staf! f on operational policies and procedures.
Ensures and faciliti! es the prompt submission of clinical patient encounter forms necessary for tracking and billing.
All other related duties as assigned or requested in order to maintain a high level of service.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS :
EDUCATION: MD Degree from an accredited Medical School. Documented completion of a Residency Program from an accredited institution in an appropriate specialty. Board Certified and eligible for admitting privileges at St. Vincent’s Hospital and/or Bridgeport Hospital.
EXPERIENCE: Have a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of medicine and allied services commensurate with his/her training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak enough Spanish to examine Spanish-speaking patients and converse on basic level strongly preferred. Demonstrate a special interest in the area of community medicine. The ability to relate to culturally diverse patients and community.
