Project Manager - Clinical Systems

Location: Hartford Connecticut

The Project Manager is a newly created position to assist the organization meet its enterprise-wide IT initiatives.

Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will be responsible for a wide range of projects while mainly supporting Patient Care Services Departments. The Manager will be involved with vendor selection, lead implementations with a hands-on and strategic approach. The Project Manager will be responsible for delegating responsibilities, mentoring and training a staff Analysts. The position will have heavy interaction with all areas of the hospital including end users, IT staff, nurses, physicians and other clinicians to ensure a successful implementation. The ideal candidate will have a Clinical Informatics or PMI certification.

Requirements:
Ideal candidate has minimum 8 plus years’ experience with clinical repository system solutions and have participated in the selection and implementation of multiple clinical repository systems that include CPOE, Closed-Loop Medication, Clinical documentation and Physician documentation in the role of the project manager.

Candidate must have experience as a functional clinical analyst for clinical repository system solutions.

Should have experience working directly with the Patient Care Services department and the physicians at all levels.

Candidate must have experience as the team leader with staff reporting responsibilities and experience as a Training Manager.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; Nursing certification, Clinical Informatics certification and PMI certification a plus.
