Orthopedic Surgery Position JOB SUMMARY: Performs a variety of patient care functions including conducting rounds, taking medical histories, conducting examination and medical procedures. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree and graduate of an approved NCCPA accredited Physician's Associate Program. Current NCCPA certification or Board eligible; CT state license and DEA #. Or Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program. Current Connecticut APRN license (or eligible). Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or certification eligibility required. 1-2 years of patient care experience as a Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner preferred, including pre, intra, and post-operative patient management. Will consider new graduate. Excellent clinical, interpersonal, communication, instructional, and leadership skills. Ensures the quality and appropriateness of all patient care practices based on age specific criteria. Maintains accurate and complete medical records and documentation of each patient encounter. Assesses and manages patients' health education needs, personal goals, and therapeutic plans. OR experience preferred.
