Description: Connecticut Children's Medical Center is presently looking of Central Sterile Technician II right now, this position will be placed in Connecticut. Under the supervision of the Central Sterile Team Leader, the CS Technician II is responsible for the decontamination,
preparation, sterili! zation, distribution, surgical case cart preparation and control of medical-surgical instruments and
equipment, both sterile and non-sterile, for the Perioperative departments, nursing units and clinic areas.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
One year of recent full time CSR experience required.
Technician and/or Surgical Instrument Technician certification through the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and
Distribution (CBSPD) or the International Association of Healthcare Central Service and Materials Management
(IAHCSMM).
Certification must be maintained.
