SDL is seeking a technical writer assistant to assist with developing software and hardware documentation and support department administrative tasks. This position is part-time and is located onsite in North Logan, UT. Qualified applicants must submit a cover letter and resume.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting fulltime technical writers with approved assignments, as needed
- Performing administrative tasking as needed
- Researching, writing, formatting, and editing documents including reports and presentations
- Supporting the development of test plans and procedures
- Attending meetings to capture action items and minutes
- Assisting with tracking requirements as needed, including software and hardware documentation output, technical requirements documents, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Current student at USU
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Experience in the Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to be proactive and work effectively with little direct supervision
- Ability to work productively alone and in a team
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to follow up and close the loop
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, and assess, understand, and document technical and engineering concepts
- Ability to assess deadlines, set individual priorities, and maintain flexibility when priorities shift, sometimes unexpectedly
- Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
- Must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident
