About the role:
The Network department is responsible for the Network infrastructure in Orange Business, and to ensure stable and efficient operation of the Customer solutions.
As a Network Consultant in Orange Business you will work in a cross-country team with our data-center network solutions. You will be a part of the Network team and work with the other members, and closely with other departments in Infrastructure and Service Delivery to maintain and improve the network environment. Working with events, incidents, changes, and various projects.
In this role, being structured, solution oriented and service minded are considered as highly important personality traits and skills.
Main areas of responsibilities:
- Prioritize, diagnose and solve incidents according to agreed procedures.
- Take responsibility for problem resolution, recommend options and implement if required.
- Review and implementation of Customer change requests.
- Planning, assessing and executing maintenance tasks on the production platform.
- Design and build network solutions according to customer needs and Orange Business principles
- Assist with system designs and specifications, overall architecture, topologies, configuration databases and design documentation of networks.
- Define, document and carry out small projects alone or with a small team, actively participating in all phases.
Main deliverables:
- Delivering an efficient network with high uptime to support our customers.
- Ensuring that Orange Business can meet the relevant SLA.
For this position you should have:
- 3 years or more experience from working in a data-center network environment
- Experience from working with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Have worked in a company using the ITIL framework
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English
- The opportunity to attain a Norwegian security approval
Experience with configuring and administering in one or more of the following: - F5 BIG-IP LTM system and load balancing services
- Junipers switches and routers
- Cisco ASA firewall systems
- Software defined networking, NSX-T
