Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Standard 10 / Grade 12 or equivalent. • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position. • Thorough understanding of the logistics/shipping processes. • Excellent business communication skills. • Proficient in MS Office. • Ability to work under pressure.

Brief Description of Key Performance Areas:

• Assist the Shipping & Logistics Manager with various duties as assigned. • Create purchase orders. • Monitor shipments and maintain an up to date shipping calendar. • Liaise with clearing agents and generate relevant documentation. • Check all clearing agent invoices. • Complete costing sheets for each individual container. • Liaise with internal/external parties as and when required. • Provide assistance with other activities as and when required. • Protect the integrity of the company at all times. • Assist in other positions and departments in accordance to operational requirements. • Ensure that all tasks are executed in a safe manner with due regard for Amrod’s policies and procedures. • Maintain a neat and tidy work environment.
