Coordinate, update, and supervise application of patient care and infection control policies and procedures
Provide for adequate ori! entation and training, and ongoing competency of clinical staff to clinical policies and procedures
Coordinate clinical staff meetings and continuing education/in-service activities in conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer
Participate in grant preparation/development/reporting
Supervise Clinical Competency Coordinators in the application of their roles in orienting, training, and monitoring clinical competency of clinical support staff (medical assistants and nurses)
Oversee and coordinate surveillance, prevention and control of infection. Educates staff on the implementation of infection control measures and new recommendations
Chair or Co-chair the QMIC (Quality Management and Improvement Committee)
Develop and monitors the Agencyâs Performance Improvement Plan for Board approval
Coordinate clinical compliance to licensure and Joint Commission standards
Report o Board of Directors on quality im! provement activities
Support staff and provide consul! tation to departments and programs in improving the processes for which they are accountable
Communicate necessary information concerning clinical operations with Senior Officers and Regional Directors, in carrying out performance improvement initiatives and participate in discussions on improvement of patient care or clinic function
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in Ambulatory/Primary Care; 2+ years of Supervisory/Management experience
Nurse Practitioner or Physician in the State of Connecticut with nationally recognized certification and appropriate licenses
Valid Federal and State controlled substance registrations as appropriate. Interest in serving low income and multicultural populations
Demonstrates the knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span as it pertains to the scope of practice
Ability to identify and categorize each patientâs age specific grouping of needs, ! such as those for infant, adolescent or geriatric patients
Demonstrates flexibility and resilience in response to changing clinical or administrative environments
Excellent communication skills
