Job Summary
This care will be delivered using a collaborative health care model including physicians, other advanced practice nurses, nursing staff, patients, families, and other supportive health care providers working together to provide a holistic approach to quality patient care. The NP will exercise clinical leadership through clinical practice, consultation, staff, patient and family education, research, and professional development.
Essential Responsibilities
Assess, manages, prescribes, and evaluates appropriate therapeutic and pharmacological interventions for common illnesses according to standards of practice. Consults or makes referral to primary care physician, other health care professionals or agencies when a situation is beyond their level of expertise or when additional services are needed to coordinate their health care.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
If licensed a! fter 1999, Master Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse P! ractitioner program required .
Nationally recognized certification required.
Current Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance License required .
Current Connecticut State RN/APRN Licensure required.
Experience
2-3 Years experience in clinical setting providing direct patient care required.
