Under the direction of the Director of Compliance, Credentialing and Nursing performs duties related to the development, implementation and mainten! ance of an effective compliance program related to the documentation and coding of provider services within the practice.
The Coding Compliance Specialist will be expected to assist in the development of policies and procedures, perform audits and educate peers to build an effective compliance structure that will provide guidelines to detect correct and prevent coding and documentation errors.

Qualifications
Education: Associates or Bachelors Degree in Health Related Field preferred
Experience: 2-5 years ICD-9-CM and CPT coding experience preferably with multiple specialities. At least 1 year auditing, coding compliance experience preferred. Clinical experience strongly preferred.
Certification: CPC, CMC or CCS-P one at least required.
Skills: Proven proficiency in ICD-9-CM Coding, CPT Coding, knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements. Experience with record review, dat! a analysis, report preparation and presentation required.
