ASSOCIATE/FULL CLINICAL PROFESSOR - FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER

Description: University of Connecticut is at present looking to employ ASSOCIATE/FULL CLINICAL PROFESSOR - FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER right now, this occupation will be placed in Connecticut. The University of Connecticut School of Nursing is seeking applications to fill a full-t! ime 11- month, non-tenure track Associate/Full Clinical Professor position. Under the direction of the Dean, the faculty member will be responsible for coordinating the Family Nurse Practitioner Program; to teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses; supervise pre-licensure and/or graduate students in clinical work each semester; apprise each student of his or her clinical performance on a regular basis; conduct evaluation of individual studentsÂ' clinical performance via impromptu meetings and planned evaluation conferences; evaluate studentsÂ' written work; act as liaison to clinical agencies, and share clinical expectations and course syllabi with relevant agency staff; address and initiate action when required for student/agency issues that may arise; and participate in campus laboratory teaching experiences, as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Earned Master's degree in Nursing and matriculation into a PhD or DNP program; current certification as a lic! ensed FNP; current Connecticut State license as APRN (valid as! of the date of hire); must be currently involved in clinical practice in a relevant clinical area; completion of required health indicators (MMR titers, TB status, Hepatitis B and others as required by clinical agencies) and CPR at time of employment.
Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctoral degree in Nursing; current certification as a Nurse Educator; previous teaching experience in an institution of higher education; demonstrated ability to contribute through scholarship, teaching and /or public engagement to the diversity and excellence of the learning experience; substantial record of scholarly productivity; prior administrative experience, especially in the coordination of a track or curriculum.
This is an 11-month, non-tenure track position subject to annual renewal based on program needs, funding and performance. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
