Quinnipiac University invites applicants to apply for a twelve month, full-time faculty position as Director of a new Nurse Anesthesia Program in the School of Nursing. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean of the School of Nursing, the Director role is an integral part of the leadership team of the School working collaboratively with the Graduate Program Director.
Job Duties:
Responsibilities will include developing an innovative curriculum preparing for accreditation hiring faculty setting academic, clinical, and administrative policies directing related operations and providing strong leadership for the Nurse Anesthesia program. The candidate will work collaboratively with internal and external constituencies in securing clinical partnerships and coordinating student placements to support the program.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a record of effective leadership in nurse anesthesia education, an earned doctorate, current practice experience, CRNA certification and be eligible for APRN licensure in the state of Connecticut. Experience in administering a Nurse Anesthesia program, knowledge of curricular design, prior experience with COA accreditation processes and outcomes assessment and evidence of excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required. Engagement in professional organizations and a record of scholarly achievement are highly desirable.
