Hartford, CTJoin our Journey to Magnet!Join us in our new 70-bay, state-of-the-art Emergency Department located in the John T. O'Connell tower on the Saint Francis Hospital campus in Hartford, CT. The Saint Francis Emergency Department delivers state-of-the-art, compassionate care for the most injured and ill patients as well as those with less serious injuries and ailments. Over 73,000 patients are cared for each year and 26-27% of those are admitted for extended care.
The facility is designated as a TRAUMA CENTER by the American College of Surgeons and a STROKE CENTER by the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Hospitals.Our new ED is seeking a full-time Nurse Manager. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible and accountable for providing clinical and administrative leadership. The Nurse Manager collaborates with other members of nursing leadership to create an environment that promotes excellence in clinical practice. This includes contributing to the development of nursing goals; procedures and standards of care; and opportunities for professional growth and development.To qualify for this exciting leadership opportunity, an MS in Nursing or related field is required, coupled with a BSN.
Current Connecticut RN licensure and 5-7 years of progressive nursing experience in an acute care environment, with progressive leadership opportunities are required. Nursing Administration and/or clinical specialty certification preferred.We are also currently seeking RNs for our Emergency Department. We offer a variety of flexible scheduling arrangements and opportunities for career advancement.To join our team you†ll need to be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Connecticut registration; BSN strongly preferred. A minimum of one year ED or other acute care experience required.
