Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Program Director, the staff nurse participates in patient care activities within the Hoffman Heart Vascular Institute and performs the following duties:
Cardiology Stress Testing
Moderate Sedation for Transesophageal Echocardiograms
Dysrhythmia Trained
In patient cardiac education
Starting Intravenous Lines
Intravenous contrast injection during Echocardiograms
Assisting in Cardiac Rehabilitation out patient programs
Also, collaborates with patients, families, peers, physicians and other members of the health care team in the delivery of healthcare services.
Per diem position
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing, BSN degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years exper! ience in critical care nursing. MSICU, CICU, Step Down cardiac! medical and or surgical care unit.
Licensure: Curent licensure as a registered nurse in Connecticut.
