The Creative Director is a key member of Tailwind's management team ! and leads all strategic, creative initiatives for the agency. ! To their team, this individual should be viewed as an approachable leader and a strategic partner to clients.

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Ensuring that all marketing communications materials for Tailwind-s clients and the agency are compelling, simple to understand and on strategy
  • Ensuring that the creative product is leading edge
  • Learning, listening, asking, prioritizing and translating client goals into strategic creative concepts
  • Solving complex communication needs using the ability to organize and architect information into graphic solutions that are breakthrough and compelling
  • Consultation with internal resources when appropriate
  • Ensuring that our high quality creative is upheld by maintaining high standards for him/herself and others on the team
  • Recommending solutions to evolve the creative and technical capabilities of the group
  • Manage and motivate a team of full-time staff, freelancers an! d contractors
  • Lead with management team the ongoing strategy and growth of the agency
Responsibilities

  • Lead design team through daily work in progress
  • Partner with project manager to make decisions on a daily basis that ensure creative quality
  • Continuous assessment of design team skills based on need for creative improvement
  • Meet with clients to understand communications inputs and requirements.
  • Meet with clients to build winning strategies including presenting creative ideas and concepts.
  • Learn and demonstrate an ongoing understanding of the Cigna brand, products, services, audiences and selling channel to ensure consistent reflection of this in the development of all communications materials - when appropriate
  • Study the competitive creative marketplace and assess where Tailwind's work stands against competitors
  • Drive constant improvement in creative quality, capabilities a! nd processes
  • Assure timely and informative communication betwe! en creative and account functions
  • Manage to agreed up timing, budget estimates and required deliverables
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

8+ years of experience with increasing roles of responsibility in a corporate setting or with an advertising/marketing agency; a minimum of 5 years in a leadership

Superior understanding of advertising and marketing principles

Demonstrated talent for high-caliber creative concepting and design

Proven ability to solve problems and architect information

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, matrix-oriented environment

Strong relationship management skills: ability to foster collaboration, value other perspectives

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Experience in communicating how creative marketing can address clients’ business needs

Passion for the health and wellness space

Eagerness to c! ollaborate with vendor partners both internally and externally

Experience with a wide range of accounts and business issues

Budget management experience
