Onward is looking for a Recruitment Specialist to join our team support the growth of our CT team and nationwide efforts. Onward is leading the way in connecting healthcare professionals to some of the best healthcare facilities based on well-rounded recruiting philosophies and proprietary tools. The recruitment specialist role will allow you to get to know the talent you work with beyond a resume and a LinkedIn profile. The recruiter is responsible for establishing well-developed relationships with healthcare professionals located throughout the U.S., (via telephone, email and social media) and works to place the professional into contract positions. In this role you will ! be contacting nurses that already exist in Onward’s database! . Once contact has been established, you will work to build the relationship and promote the jobs we have available throughout the US. The recruiter provides a high level of customer service (assisting the professionals from start to finish in the job application process along with periodically checking in with the candidate throughout their assignment). You will create your own book of business which is established through calling 100+ candidates a day initially. In this teamwork environment, the recruiter also works in conjunction with Onward’s client management and operations teams to ensure a successful placement i.e. a happy working healthcare professional!

  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Must be able to utilize social media (LinkedIn, Facebook) in order to generate initial lines of communication with existing contact info and assist in build relationships.
  • Ability to promote jo! b opportunities and the option of contract work to potential candidates.
  • Manage your own database of professionals to place on various assignments nation-wide.
  • Pre-screen and evaluate potential quality candidates and assist them with the entire interview process.
  • Submit candidates for positions to our nationwide database of 1500+ client facilities.
Ensure that each candidate understands Onward Healthcare’s process by working with our compliance/payroll teams during on-boarding process and submitting weekly timecards.

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Prior experience in inside sales or recruiting preferred
  • New grads are ncouraged to apply
  • Highly energetic and with a competitive edge.
  • Very goal oriented personality.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, especially phone etiquette.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a large volume of communication both internally ! and externally
  • An ability to build lasting relationships with ! individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to network/generate referrals.
  • A drive to increase sales through networking and relationship building, primarily via phone and email.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Internet Navigation
  • Basic understanding of various forms of social media preferred (LinkedIn, Facebook)
  • Excellent analytical skills including creative problem solving and thorough troubleshooting ability. Systematic approach with the ability to proactively identify and diffuse potentially difficult situations before they escalate.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
